Williamsport - Lester Merle House, 73 of WIlliamsport died at 7:20 a.m. Saturday in Home Hospital at Lafayette. He had been ill for 5 months. He was employed by National Homes Corp at Lafayette for 23 years, had farmed until his retirement in 1970 and was an Amway distributor. Mr. House was a member of Williamsport Christian Church. Born May 6, 1901 at Rainsville, he was a son of Charles and Sarah Bolz House. He married Myra Louise Redman on Feb 23, 1923. She survives. Other survivors include two sons, Robert L of Williamsport and William R of Attica; six daughters, Mrs. Richard (Mercedes) Snowberger of Delphi; Mrs. Everett (Frances) Hayes of Crawfordsville; Mrs. Richard (Barbara) Taylor of Crawfordsville, Mrs. Gerald (Eleanor) Mourer of Mt. Vernon; Mrs. Charles (Beverly) Clearwater of Attica and Mrs. William (Janet) Fields of Waynetown; two brothers, Ernest of Rt 1, Williamsport and Elmer House of Toledo, Ohio; three steosisters, Lela Vaughn of Williamsport, Mrs. Laureen Fritter of Lafayette and Mrs. Ollie Faye of Lafayette; 26 grandchildren; 3 stepgrandchildren; 3 great grandchildren; and 3 step great grandchildren. Services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Fisher Funeral Home here with the Rev. Joe Shryock officiating. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Attica. Friends may call at the funeral home. The family has asked that contributions be made to the American Cancer Society. - kbz
